"Once" Wins a Drama League Award!
Today, "Once" won a Drama League Award for Distinguished Production of a Musical. Congratulations to everyone involved in "Once"!
News from "Priscilla", "Newsies", and more!
Sad news. "Priscilla: Queen of the Desert" will play its last performance June 24th. Go see it while you can!
It has been announced that "Newsies" is now an open ended run! Yay! The next block of tickets will go on sale next week.
According to tweets from various cast members and from Alan Menken, a "Leap of Faith" cast album is in the works. We will keep you updated on what happens next.
Lastly, there is even more footage from the "Newsies" cast album recording session which you can watch below :)

"Evita" Tour and "Annie" Orphans Announcement
The current revival of "Evita" will launch a national tour starting in 2013 :)
The orphans of "Annie" have been announced! 8 year old Emily Rosenfield (Molly), 7 year old Tyrah Skye Odoms (Kate), 9 year old Junah Jang (Tessie), 11 year old Georgi James (Pepper), 12 year old Madi Rae DiPietro (July), Taylor Richardson (Duffy, u/s Annie), and 11 year old Jaidyn Young (s/b Annie, Pepper, Duffy, July) have joined the cast of "Annie"! Congratulations!

The Public Theater's production of "Into the Woods" may transfer to Broadway next season. We'll keep you posted on what happens next. The cast features young Jack Broderick playing "Narrator". You might have also seen him in "Billy Elliot".
The Broadway aimed "Kinky Boots" musical now has a Twitter account! You can follow them @KinkyBootsBway. The show will featured two children playing younger versions of the two leads.
Lastly, I have a couple of sneak previews from "Matilda" which will be premiering on Broadway next year! The second one is older, but the first one was just released. Take a look below.

The cast of "Once" will be on the View 5/17! Check your local listings. I have no idea if McKayla or Ripley will be performing with them.
A new musical called "Chaplin" is set to open at the Barrymore Theater on Sept. 10th, 2012. Previews will begin August 21st. Auditions took place a month ago looking for children to play a young Charlie Chaplin. Keep you eyes peeled for a casting announcement :)

News from "Once", "Mary Poppins", and more!
"Once" had a busy weekend! The off Broadway production won Best Musical at the Lucille Lortel Awards and also won Best Musical at the New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards! Congratulations to the cast and crew! Also, it was announced today that the show will launch a national tour next summer :)
Aiden Eyrick, who performed in "Jerusalem" last Broadway season, won a Young Artist Award this past week for his work in "Jerusalem". Congratulations Aiden!
The rest of the Cast of 2032 of Godspell was announced and it looks like Gaten Matarazzo of "Priscilla: Queen of the Desert" will be playing Jesus in the upcoming Godspell encore performance. To view the rest of the Cast of 2032, click here.
